For you I will change the way I love.

For you I will change the way I feel.

Sometimes feeling like a fantasy.

A dream that has yet to become real.

For you I will think twice.

For you I will write stories.

Sometimes feeling like a fantasy.

A dream that has yet to become real.

For you I will take a chance.

For you I will take a shot at love.

Sometimes feeling like a fantasy.

A dream that has yet to become real.

For you I will let my guard down.

For you I will submit.

Sometimes like a fantasy.

A dream that has yet to become real.

For you I will open myself up.

For you I will heal my hurt.

Sometimes like a fantasy.

January 2025 I had just written the title. Scrolling through the drafts; I felt the energy to write. I hope you enjoy. 11:20-11:28am I wrote this. With a dream of a chance on my heart.

I do love speaking my poetry in front of an audience; although it has been years. Let's keep in mind timeline has nothing to do with my personal life. I write when I want, and how I want in my own poetic language. I can be inspired by an entire world. A jealous man or woman will hold me back from being creative with my writings which I abhor immensely. I have been single most of my life. Not many relationships. Family is important. The most recent single strip has been 2 years. And a third of that has been celibate. I am thankful for focus and clarity again of course. I talk about previous journeys. Single for 5 years; Celibate 3, etc. That kid that was picked on in school. With the best way of my karma being to shut people out and write. Wellsville High School was wonderful... albeit I spent a year at another high school. By no means a mean girl or popular. Book worm...class clown but not a bully. Spread love was what I was taught to do. Raised by a social worker/psychology driven strong woman. She died 21 years ago and gave up an incredible amount of her time to help raise children considered her grands... Family is important; respect, dignity and honesty are too. I have been writing poetry since a child. You may have known. I am a strong mother of two children. I believe that you don't own anyone, therefore I have never been married. I have poetry and writings of various topics, admirations to friendships, community and love. Should you take that offensively, that's not how poetry would be written to 'offend' It was written to heal. So, I don't want you to feel that way. Don't get into wondering if you're the subject of the poem, just read without glasses of judgement. Daily Affirmation: My heart is always open to give and receive love.
